After years of experience in private practice and moving to the area, Resonating Rhythm was created from the desire to provide music therapy services in the Forsyth County area. Our passion is to provide music therapy services in YOUR community!

Lydia Collins

Owner/Music Therapist, LPMT, MT-BC

Lydia is a licensed, board-certified music therapist with a degree in Music Therapy from Converse College. She completed her internship with Fulton County Schools, where she worked with students of all ages and abilities, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, and orthopedic impairments.


Before starting her career, she served in Thrive Special Needs Ministry at First Baptist Woodstock, coordinating curriculum and programming. She went on to work at Perfect Harmony Health (formally known as The George Center), gaining experience with clients across the lifespan.


In 2022, Lydia founded Resonating Rhythm in Cumming, GA to expand access to music therapy. She currently works full-time in Forsyth County Schools while continuing to provide this valuable resource to the Forsyth community.


Tess Vreeland

Music Therapist, MM, LPMT, MT-BC

Tess Vreeland is a licensed and board-certified music therapist who works full-time in Forsyth County Schools. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Therapy from Florida State University, where she gained experience at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in outpatient oncology, inpatient rehabilitation, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and general hospital settings.


During her graduate studies at FSU, Tess served as a graduate teaching and research assistant, focusing on music therapy with young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is excited to be back in a private practice setting as she completed her internship at Therabeat & In Harmony Pediatric Therapy and later worked at Healing Hearts Music Therapy, providing services for diverse populations including older adults in memory care, inclusive preschools, and individuals with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
